CIRCLE: COMMUNITY CARE

Care grows through trusted people.

Circle is Muska’s community care pathway. It trains and supports trusted community members to create safe, peer-led spaces where women and young people can talk, learn coping tools and navigate support together.

WHY CIRCLE EXISTS

Support feels safer when it comes through trust.

Many people affected by conflict, displacement and crisis do not know where to turn, or feel unable to access formal mental health services because of cost, language, stigma or fear. Circle helps create safe community spaces where support can begin earlier, before people are left to cope alone.

01

Peer Support Circles

Facilitated group spaces where people can share, listen and learn practical coping tools.

02

Safe Space Sessions

Confidential community-led sessions where women and young people can speak without judgement.

03

Community Navigation

Practical guidance to help people understand services, systems and support options around them.

HOW CIRCLE WORKS

Train, support and safeguard.

Muska recruits trusted people from within communities, trains them in basic psychosocial support, safe space facilitation and Psychological First Aid, and provides ongoing guidance and safeguarding support.

  • Trust : Facilitators come from the communities they support.

  • Training: Facilitators learn peer support, safe boundaries and practical support skills.

  • Safeguarding: Circle is designed with clear boundaries, referral guidance and continued support.
